Dear Students,

This year, the Faculty of Informatics at Masaryk University celebrates its 30th anniversary, and you are an integral part of its history and future. I invite you to the "Open Faculty" conference, where we will commemorate this significant milestone together.

To allow everyone to attend, I declare a Dean’s leave for all students and teachers during the conference, specifically on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 4:00 PM onwards. This means you can participate even if you would otherwise have classes at that time.

What’s in store for you?

Together, we’ll reflect on past years' successes and look ahead to the future of our faculty—both from the perspective of those within FI and through the eyes of our alumni and industry representatives. Look forward to inspiring speakers, informal networking, and refreshments.

The conference will be held in Czech, but an English-subtitled recording will be available afterwards.

When and Where

When: Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (followed by networking and refreshments)
Where: Faculty of Informatics MU, Botanická 68a, Brno – Lecture Hall D1 (with a live stream to D3)

SPP Day

Before the conference, starting at 1:00 PM, don’t miss Day with Industrial Partners of the Faculty of Informatics MU. This event take place on the ground floor of Building D and in the entrance foyer. Stop by to meet representatives of our partner companies, discuss your interests, and explore opportunities for internships and final thesis projects.

The capacity of Lecture Hall D1 is limited, so please register as soon as possible:

If you find that you cannot attend after registering, please make sure to cancel your registration by Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:59 PM via the link provided in the confirmation email.

Even if no seats are available in D1, you can join us without registration in D3, where the event will be live-streamed.
